wpd wind power park Eystrasalt

wpd has asked AquaBiota to conduct field surveys on the Eystrasalt offshore bank, located in the Bothnian sea.

wpd is investigating the possibilities of building a wind park in the area around the Eystrasalt offshore bank. The area is located about 60 km east of Hudiksvall in the Swedish economic zone.

The Eystrasalt Bank was visited during the offshore bank survey that Swedish EPA performed in 2004-2005. Besides that, the area has been very little investigated. As a preparation for public hearings and environmental impact assessments (EIA) AquaBiota has performed an extensive survey during early summer and autumn 2020 and has now a much improved understanding of the area’s biology and suitability for a wind park.
