Emilia works to a large extent with public consultations and environmental impact assessments focusing on offshore wind power. The work includes data collection, GIS-processing, statistical analyses, and report writing.
Emilia has previously worked with gear development in the coastal fisheries, the conflict between seals and fisheries as well as different by catch problems regarding harbour porpoises. She also has previous experience working in different projects around the world with emphasis on marine mammals. She has for example studied population structures in bottlenose dolphins in Wales, the distribution of humpback whales in Mexico and the relationship between mother and calf pairs of humpback whales in the Comoro Islands. Emilia has a lot of experience with different fishing techniques and gears, ROVs, CPODs, FPODs, different camera systems (both below and above water) and drones.
Emilia holds a master’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Gothenburg.
