A conservation value survey is performed on land and in the water in the southern part of Lake Kvarnsjön, Huddinge before a planned cable laying in the lake.
AquaBiota performs a conservation value survey in the southern part of lake Kvarnsjön, Huddinge for ABEKA before a planned cable laying in the lake which is known for its comparably clear water and large amount of mussels such as the swan mussel (Anodonta cygnea). Conservation values on both land and in water are included in the survey, which is performed during the autumn 2018. The work is performed with several methods including drop video and snorkeling in order to survey species composition and distribution of aquatic vegetation and mussels. The results will reveal which conservation values that should be considered during the cable laying and how this should be performed in order to minimize the impact on the conservation values.
